Species
Hinchinbrook
The area is one of the east coast best locations for lure and fly anglers with many species to target. Inshore we have:
| Barramundi | Mangrove Jack | Estuary Cod | Trevally |
| Fingermark | Queenfish | Permit | Goldspot Cod |
| Flathead | Javelin fish | Tarpon | Blue Salmon |
The list goes on. Offshore target species include:
| Black Marlin | Sailfish | Giant Trevally | Spanish Mackerel |
| Wahoo | Barracuda | Tuna | Coral Trout |
And many more.
Cape York
The Cape has an endless species count with a majority of species living on or very close to the coastline.
| Barramundi | Mangrove Jack | Fingermark | Queenfish |
| King Salmon | Blue Salmon | Qld Groper | Giant Herring |
| Golden Trevally | Longtail Tuna | Mackerel | Brassy Trevally |
The list really does drag on, I’ve even seen both Sailfish and Black Marlin within two miles of the coast. Flyfishing for the week we have totalled over 50 species.
Papua New Guinea
There really only needs to be one fish on this list but there are plenty of things to catch along the way.
| Black Bass | Spot Tail Bass | Mangrove Jack | Giant Trevally |
| Qld Groper | Papuan Trevally |
