Billabong Sportsfishing 2008
The New Year is upon us and the begining of organising and planning fishing trips is well under way.
Cuba is our holiday destination this year, a group of friends and myself are heading over targeting Atlantic Tarpon, Cuba is one of the spots to sight fish these monsters in shallow water.
On the home front slots are filling steadily and it’s looks like being another busy year, the usual trips and location options will be available, Hinchinbrook and Cape York.
Peak months for visiting Hinchinbrook, Sept-Nov are filling fast so if you are interested in getting a few days in, send me an email. Other peak times of April/May are moving along quickly too. I do have other guides working with me so we should be able to get you the dates you’re after.
A couple of snaps captured off the patio recently.

The wet season is off to a good start with good rainfalls right through the state. This should be conducive to another year of good fishing. It also means not much will be happening here over the next month, fishing can be red hot if the conditions are right but somedays you will definitely need your wet weather gear.
My good friend and client Ken Culgin has been at it again, he send me up a couple of dozen flies as a late Xmas present, people look into my fly selection and gaze at some of the brilliantly tied flies, well mostly they’re the ones Ken sent me…mine do the job but are not up to KC’s standard.

Thanks again Ken.
Good fishing, Dave Bradley.
