Barramundi Fever
It has been a busy start to an early summer, the heat is on in North Queensland and so are the fish, the weather has been a little patchy but there is always somewhere to fish out of whatever is dished up. Alex, Dan & Tom made their first journey north to Hinchinbrook and where surprised at the beauty of it’s natural landscapes and wildlife and we also caught them a few fish, the boys caught their first Barramundi, under Alex’s keen instruction. Can’t wait for the next trip.

Amelia, Jess and Craig Daily (Clearwater Trout Guide from the Snowy Mountains area) had 3 days last week, Jess got her best Queenfish to date, Craig cracked his first Barramundi and a good time was had by all even if it got a little windy.
Hitoshi and Karl fished the last two days with at Hinchinbrook, Karl has Barra fished before but today was his best yet, the guys boated over twenty Barras from over thirty hook ups in wet and windy conditions, yesterday wasn’t as good but some Threadfin Salmon and sightfishing action made up for it. I’m off to the Cape tomorrow with Gavin Platz from Tie’n'fly Outfitters and a group of keen flyfishers. Another report soon.
Good fishing, Dave Bradley
