February
February can be a little unstable, weather related in Far North Queensland. So far this year the weather has been kind, taking advantage of this we’ve ventured offshore a couple of times and had some good sessions on Poppers and flies. Giant Trevally, Queenfish and Tuna were target species and most common captures.

The fish came out victorious during a few battles, but overall a good time was had by all.

The estuaries have been a little tough with water temps very high, the freshwater reaches are fishing well and a few rain showers are continuing to keep the rivers topped up.
Plenty of good fishing to come in 2006 and a few vacancies on Cape trips.
